What is Qard Hasan?
Qard Hasan (Arabic: القرض الحسن) is an interest-free loan mentioned in multiple places in the Quran:
"Who is he that will loan to Allah a beautiful loan, which Allah will double unto his credit and multiply many times?" (2:245)
Unlike sadaqah (charity), which is consumed, Qard Hasan capital REVOLVES. The borrower repays the loan, and the money immediately helps the next person in need. This perpetual cycling creates infinite spiritual reward—19 hasanah with each cycle until the Day of Judgment.
